YOU CAN WIN IT!!! BFF BRACELET GIVE AWAY WITH ETTIKA!

Custom Statement Plate Satin Bracelet

Who remembers totally awesome 80's arts and crafts? If you were anything like me, you spent the majority of your childhood summer days going to camp and doing art projects. My agendas usually included a nice repertoire of Spin Art (you never knew what you were going to get when you pressed the stop button..uber exciting!) and spelling out my name and some hearts and stars in Puff Paint on a white T-shirt (my favorite part, I have to admit, was waiting for the paint to dry and picking the little puffy paint dots and shapes off my t-shirt.) In case you weren't lucky enough to be a child of the 80's here are a few reminders:

But my all time absolute FAVORITE thing to do, was make crazy colorful friendship bracelets again, and again, and again. I had 2 huge boxes of string (I used embroidery floss) and a "how to make friendship bracelets" book that showed me how to make all the different stitches. Zig-zag, parallel, diamond, you name it I (attempted) to make it. When I had my box of string out, and the book open, you just couldn't talk to me. I made bracelets for myself, my sister, my mom, and all of my friends. Unfortunately, at some point along the way I guess I grew out of it and carried on with my life.

Fast forward about 20 years, and Ettika has turned me into a little girl all over again! After having blogged about them back in April when I saw their amazzzzing fluorescent bracelets in SI (see "Treasure Chest: Ettika" from April 7th,) I became more and more in love with the company. So...I have been following them ever since as an avid customer and admirer. In the past few months I have become completely and totally obsessed with their modern version of the BFF bracelet! Their new take on the string friendship bracelet blows my old school creations out of the water. Not only are they made with beautiful bright colors, but now they include rhinestones and charms! I may not be a little girl anymore, but my love for all things sparkly has surely never EVER subsided. Some of my favorites include the horse shoe, feather, wish bone, and heart, and all of the rhinestone crystal ones!

Friendship Bracelets, Be My Friendship Bracelet

Friendship Bracelets, Custom Crystal Friendship Bracelet

Ettika has even gone a step further and created delicate little "Inspiration" word plate bracelets that can be either worn alone, or mixed in with your charm and rhinestone bracelets as little accent pieces. They look SO cute together and really get across the message of friendship, life, and love. The best part about these is that you can get the plates in Gold, Silver, or Brass and choose from over 40 different sayings...AND...you can even pick your string color from over 15 different shades. This allows you to basically customize your words AND colors to coordinate with your fabulous charm and rhinestone bracelets perfectly! You are going to want to make sure when you get some for yourself and your BFF(s), that they look amazzing on everyone's wrists. So get creative!

  1. I met my bestie, Jen Vogel, pledging our sorority at Penn State. We weren't friends at first, in fact, we didn't even like each other all that much. Complete opposites in every way, I was loud, opinionated, and messy, Jen is very polite, neat, and organized. Fast forward two years and we both find ourselves living in adjacent buildings at NYU with not much to do. We quickly began spending a lot of time together and realized opposites make the best friends. We've been best friends for 7 years and she's the best friend a girl could ask for! Oh and it turns out, I grew up, got neater and she got louder and messier!

P.S. I also "liked" the Ettika FB page! I'm in it to win it :)

  3. I met my best friend, Maria Mora,24 years ago. We were in junior high school, 7th grade. After graduating high school, we went to different universities, however,we always kept in contact. After graduating, I came back to my hometown. I have been there for her and she has been there for me through thick and thin. She is now married and has two kids, and I still get invited to her kids birthday partys. Mary is a wonderful friend, and I hope we continue this friendship for a longer time.

  4. I met my bestie, Elisa when she moved to my home town at 3 years old. She told me she was from Texas, and I proclaimed her a liar since she could not produce a horse for me to verify her a Texan. We've been best friends (and fellow Geminis) for 26 years now!

  5. I met my best friend Bridget when we were both 2 years old! We grew up on the same street together and were inseparable up until we were 18 years old. At this time, we each attended college in different states. Although we do not see each other very often, I still call her my best friend because we are always there for each other in times of need. She is my best friend of 22 years and always will be! :-)

  6. I met my best friend Lisa Hoard at my very first slumber party in the third grade. Ever since then we were inseparable! We would dress alike at school, write notes to each other in our own secret alphabet and camp out in her backyard. We are both 30 now and she flew all the way from Florida to be a bridesmaid for my wedding in California. Long distance friendship, but I still and will always consider her to be my best friend. It would be awesome to surprise her with a friendship bracelet just like the ones she used to braid for us in middle school!

P.S- I posted our names on Ettika's Facebook page!
